Through the lens of a photographer, my goal is to capture the essence of the human connection through intimate and thought provoking images. Taking heavy influence from photographers such as Lee Jeffries, Stephan Vanfleteren and also the raw and honest work of Soft White Underbelly, I strive to capture the true essence of each person I photograph.Through my photography I aim to reveal the unique stories of my subjects and to celebrate their individuality and humanity. Whether I shoot the characters from the canal or the inner city, each represent the connections between humanity and the world around us. Each photograph shoot is informed by the lives of those I photograph.
My approach to portrait photography is that of honesty and a sense of authentic roots. I believe the most powerful portraits are those that capture the raw emotion and vulnerability of the subjects. Through storytelling and the sharing of different experiences, I am able to build a connection with my subjects that allow me to capture their true essence.
